今回は、名古屋市中川区でのレッスンです。本日のお客様は、運転免許を取得後、約１０数年経っておりますが、数年前に自動車学校でペーパードライバー講習を受けたそうです。
その時は、お友達と旅行に行く際、運転の交代ができるように練習したそうです。しかし結局旅行後は、また運転をしなくなりペーパードライバーに逆戻りとなったということです。
ただ今回は、ご自身の生活環境が変化し、日常的に車の運転ができた方が、都合がいいということでペーパードライバー克服にチャレンジすることにしたそうです。

数年前に自動車学校でペーパードライバー講習を受けているとはいえ、実質１０数年で運転したのは数回と言うことで、ご本人様は、やはり不安とのことでした。
と言うことで、事前踏査で選定させていただいている交通量の少ない場所からスタートしました。
設定したルートを３周ほど反復練習していただきながら、少しずつ無理のないように注意していただくポイントをお伝えし、次第に交通量の多い場所に場所を移してきます。
お客様のご要望で今回は、２時間まるまる通常走行のみで実施させていただきまして、次回駐車練習と、走行練習のご予約をいただきました。ありがとうございます。
今日は午後から、先日あるお客様のレッスン終わりに、右折・左折のルールをまとめた資料をお渡しするお約束をしたので、その資料作りと、そのお客様からされたとある質問にお答えするべく、自分が運転しながら、自分は今どうやって運転をしているのかを考えています。
例えば、左折する際にハンドルを回します。どこで回しているのか？なぜそこで回すと判断しているのか、もちろん自動車学校で使用する運転教本には、それについての説明は載っていますし、ご説明もさせていただきましたが、もっとわかりやすい表現があるかもしれない、と言うことで考え中です。
どこでハンドル回すの？どれぐらい回すの？
一番簡単な答えは、「感覚」です。ですが、その感覚を言葉で説明するのが私たちの仕事ですので、その一番簡単な答えに逃げたくないのです。
新しいもっとわかりやすい表現をこれからも探していこうと思います。
